In 1900s colonial Africa, sea captain Charles Marlow (Tim Roth) pursues an enigmatic ivory trader known as Kurtz (John Malkovich), who is the head of a trading station and who is worshipped as a god by the natives. The two face off in an explosive battle of wits in the dangerous jungles of the Congo; Nicolas Roeg directs this powerful adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s classic 1899 novella, which also served as the basis for Francis Ford Coppola's "Apocalypse Now." 105 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.
