Fed up with the men in their lives, L.A.-based movie trailer editor Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and London journalist Iris (Kate Winslet) meet online and agree to swap houses for two weeks, thinking a change of scenery will do them both a world of good. But the girls' desire to be alone proves moot when Amanda falls for Iris' charming brother (Jude Law) and Iris is wooed by a quirky musician (Jack Black).
