This quirky comedy from Brian De Palma focuses on Denis Byrd (Keith Gordon), a shy young man who begins to film his home life. Denis documents all of the bizarre and, at times, unsavory exploits of his off-the-wall family, many of which were inspired by De Palma's own experiences. With Nancy Allen, Vincent Gardenia, Gerrit Graham, and Kirk Douglas as Denis' film teacher, whom De Palma also based on himself. 90 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
