Set in 1962 Poland, this Best Foreign Film Oscar-winner finds an orphaned young woman (Agata Trzebuchowska) preparing to take her vows as a nun, only to experience the sudden shock of learning from an aunt (Agata Kulesza) that she is, in fact, the daughter of Jewish parents who perished in the Holocaust.
