Mock profundity and scathing satire are the hallmarks of this film festival hit, which skewers the historical documentary (and Ken Burns' films in particular) with this imaginary story of a Civil War breaking out between the Northern and Southern halves of the state of California. Based on an art exhibit by Sandow Birk, the account blends the Southern California artist's works with interviews and re-creations that bring the "reality" of California's "great war" hilariously home. 98 min. Soundtrack: English; bonus footage; interview; photo gallery; theatrical trailer.
