In late-19th-century Arizona, savvy officer Chase McCloud (George Montgomery) was tasked with making sure the locals abided with the tenuous treaty keeping trespassers off of Apache land. Greedy gold speculators wanted none of that, however, and an outflanked McCloud has to fight off their efforts to spark an all-out Indian war.
