The Insights Journal Volume One DVD is a rare document that draws on an extensive archive of material shot throughout the world from 2001-2008. It follows the evolution of recently promoted Brigadier General Amant Pooksrisuk and his lifelong quest to revive the ancient Thai bare knuckle fighting arts. A series of interviews with Ajarn Pooksrisuk shot in 2001-2002 give a unique insight into the history and future development of the Thai bare knuckle systems. Questions involving bare-knuckle fighting in Thai history, the wai kru, the importance of Songkran, the annual burma vs Thailand bare-knuckle events, military muay, gambling in new and old muay, what is often considered hidden or secret are all covered in this volume. Rare footage from the 2006 Muay seminar in Poland, the complete 2004 Songkran Muay Boran presentation by a group of Thai school children and a flowing technique demonstration from 2002 are framed by an array of old photos and footage from Thailand's distant fighting past. The DVD concludes with a special interview with General Amnat on his martial and military evolution recorded in the ancient city of Ayutthaya in 2002.
