Yorkshire, 1912: The prosperous Birling family was enjoying an engagement celebration when a knock at the door came from Inspector Poole (Alistair Sim). As he pursues his inquiry, they learn that a despondent young woman (Jane Wenham) had committed suicide--and that five different members of the clan could have been the individual that drove her to the act. Guy Hamilton’s adaptation of the J.B. Priestley stage classic co-stars Bryan Forbes, Olga Lindo, Arthur Young, Eileen Moore. 80 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurette; theatrical trailers.
