Interrupted Melody
(1955)
This sensitive biography tells the story of Australian opera singer Marjorie Lawrence (Eleanor Parker), who made a courageous comeback after polio struck her at the height of her career and confined her to a wheelchair. Only after meeting and eventually marrying Dr. Thomas King (Glenn Ford) and witnessing the plight of military servicemen can Lawrence rise above her handicap. Eileen Farrell dubbed Parker's voice for the opera sequences. Roger Moore co-stars. 106 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.
