In the Pacific Northwest, siblings Nell (Ellen Page) and Eva (Evan Rachel Wood) never had many complaints about the semi-isolated existence they knew in their father’s woodland abode. When the region is struck by a power outage─and it becomes increasingly apparent that a global calamity is the cause─the sisters have to tap uncharted depths within themselves for survival.
