Author Holly J. Wood teamed up with singer/songwriter Kami Wood and composer Jim Funk to create music to accompany her novel, Invaluable. The book was written specifically for LDS Young Women, with chapters that highlight each of the eight Young Women values. The main character, Eliza, has dreams where she sees glimpses from the lives of notable women throughout history; each woman representing one of the values. When Eliza wakes from each dream, she learns to incorporate these values into her everyday life. Ultimately she comes to realize that these values are teaching her who she truly is: a daughter of God. Each woman from her dreams has a song (ie. Emma Smith, Esther, Mother Teresa, etc.), and each song represents one of the values. Much like the book, the music came about in a rather miraculous manner. It's a simple message, yet one that every Young Woman needs to understand---that she is special. That she is truly of infinite worth and a beloved daughter of God. This is just another resource to bring the values home to these amazing girls. A perfect gift for young women, or anyone who appreciates inspirational and uplifting music.
