Theodora Goes Wild (1936)
Small-town resident Theodora Lynn (Irene Dunne) authors a steamy best-seller, using a pen name so she doesn’t rile the neighbors. After a tempestuous publisher’s meeting in Manhattan, dust-jacket artist Michael Grant (Melvyn Douglas) follows her home and teasingly threatens to blow her cover. She turns the tables back in the Big Apple, where Theodora tries to teach Grant to face his politician father and estranged wife. Thomas Mitchell also stars. 94 min. BW/Rtg: NR

His screenwriter wife Paula (Irene Dunne) relocates to a rundown shack near the base, but Max quickly realizes that he may be in over his head as he finds his fellow OCS hopefuls are half his age.
