The first film version of H.G. Wells’ "The Island of Doctor Moreau," this horror classic stars Charles Laughton as the demented scientist Moreau. Playing God, the crazed doc attempts to transform animals into hideous human-like mutants in his "House of Pain," but quickly discovers the consequences of toying with nature.
