When his boss is crushed under a bizarre statue that mysteriously survived a devastating fire, assistant museum curator Arthur Pimm (Roddy McDowall) launches his own investigation into its origins. Discovering that the stone sculpture is actually the Golem, a horrific monster from 16th-century Jewish myth, Pimm is able to use the creature to do his evil bidding.
