Laughs abound in this James Cagney vehicle that has him portraying Jimmy Corrigan, a crooked businessman who bilks money out of rich folks without heirs. The problem is that the girl of his dreams, Joan (Bette Davis), wants him to go legit like her boss (Alan Dinehart), even though he’s in the same racket, unbeknownst to her.
