First, in "Siren of the Tropics" (1927), Josephine Baker stars as a young native woman from the French Antilles who falls in love with an upscale prospector. Following him back to Paris, she embarks on a new life as a successful dance hall performer. With Pierre Batcheff, Régina Dalthy. Next, in "Zou Zou" (1934), Baker is a laundress who fills in for the leading lady on opening night and becomes a sensation. With Jean Gabin. Lastly, in "Princess Tam Tam" (1935), Baker portrays an African native brought to France by a writer and coached so that she can be passed off as an Indian princess. With Albert Prejean, Germaine Aussey. 4 1/3 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English. In French with English subtitles.
