Killer Joe

Based on the play by Tracy Letts (who also scripted), this darkly comedic tale stars Matthew McConaughey as a Dallas-based detective who also works as a paid killer. When he is hired to murder the mother of a debt-ridden Southerner (Emile Hirsch), he takes the man's sister as a retainer until he can be paid─resulting in plenty of conflict.
