An interesting early example of cinema as propaganda, this silent pro-union drama─co-produced by the American Federation of Labor─chronicles the hardships faced by a family after the father is injured on the job. When the eldest daughter gets a factory job to support them but is worked to the point of collapse, her fellow employees band together to demand fair treatment. 65 min.
