When the poor Mexican-American residents of a Texas town discover their ancestors’ original land grant deeds--and devious developers swipe them to make sure they never get filed--con man-turned-Robin Hood Alejandro Toledo (Fernando Colunga) comes out of retirement to set things right. Armed with a new partner (Eduardo Yáñez) and a ragtag crop of cohorts, he launches an elaborate heist to get the documents back in the proper hands.
