Lady of Burlesque

"The G-String Murders," a mystery novel by stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, served as the basis for this entertaining whodunit from director William A. Wellman. Barbara Stanwyck stars as Dixie Daisy, a burlesque star who becomes a murder suspect after two of her fellow dancers are strangled.
