In a bid to atone for his past as a religious huckster, the Rev. Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian) invites a film crew to accompany him to the remote Louisiana farmhouse where he plans to effect a bogus salvation for teen Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell), believed by her father to be suffering a case of demonic possession.
