Emilio Sagi's colorful 1970s-inspired production of Rossini's 'L'Equivoco Stravagante' is performed by Marco Vinco, Marina Prudenskja and Bruno de Simone with the Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano e Trento conducted by Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli. L'equivoco stravagante was written on 1811 and its Rossini's first two-act comic opera, the only one written for a theatre in Bologna (his adoptive home after he abandoned Pesaro). A truly peculiar opera; not so much in its music but with the text written by Gaetano Gasbarri which led the work being ostracized from theaters for nearly two centuries. Directed by Emilio Sagi, Davide Mancini. Starring Bruno de Simone, Carmen Santoro, Paolo Pucci. Language: Italian
