Having failed to hear from her daughter in the days following the July 2005 London bombings, a woman (Brenda Blethyn) journeys from her rural community to make a desperate search. Her frustrating quest brings her into repeated contact with a West African man (Sotigui Kouyate) on a similar hunt for his missing son.
