Two remakes of the 1934 comedy/drama "Hi, Nellie!" are featured on this double bill. First, Ronald Reagan (in his film debut) stars in the drama "Love Is on the Air" as a radio crime reporter who gets demoted after exposing a corrupt city official. Stuck hosting a kid's show, Reagan must find a way to get the goods on a ruthless gangster. With June Travis, Eddie Acuff, Ben Welden. And, in "You Can't Escape Forever," a newspaper editor (George Brent) is reduced to writing a love advice column when he angers a local mob boss, so he dedicates himself to taking the crook down and getting his old job back.
