Returning to his hometown in Upstate New York, Dr. Issac Blake senses his estranged sister is in trouble. Driven by an unseen force, Issac steals a car, acquires a crowbar, and breaks into her house only to discover she's missing - and no one else noticed it. All that remains are strange echoes - signals from another world that she's trapped. Or dead. After he uncovers a local mechanic whom she had been seeing, Issac becomes aware of a strange secret. The mechanic is a Lunamancer - and when he draws upon dark powers from the moon, no one can stand against him. Issac must cross to the other side of reality and pry his sister away from this mythic figure armed with only his wits and a crowbar.
