The deeply religious inhabitants of an isolated Peruvian village, who mark the period between Good Friday and Easter with a celebration of guilt-free conduct, find their beliefs challenged when 14-year-old Madeinusa (Magaly Solier) meets Salvador (Carlos J. de la Torre), a geologist from Lima. That Salvador is unaware of his importance makes his arrival all the more remarkable, in this lyrical drama from Peru. Yiliana Chong, Melvin Quijada co-star. 100 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: Spanish Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: English; biographies; bonus short "Fallen Art" (2004). In Spanish with English subtitles.
