When boozing, washed-up, and wheelchair-bound author Monte Wildhorn (Morgan Freeman) is taken to a coastal town for the summer by his nephew (Keenan Thompson), hopes are high that the bitter scribe will rediscover the urge to create. Meeting a divorced mother (Virginia Madsen) and bonding with her children, Wildhorn gradually finds the ability to open up and once more begins crafting stories. Director Rob Reiner's charming drama co-stars Madeline Carroll, Emma Fuhrmann. 109 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: Spanish; audio commentary by Reiner, Freeman, and Madsen; featurettes; interview; theatrical trailer.
