Mai-Chan's Daily Life: The Movie
(2014)
Having taken a job as a live-in maid, young Miyako (Miyako Akane) is shown the ropes around the household by the perky servant girl Mai-chan (An Koshi). As she settles into her routine, she makes a couple of stunning discoveries--first, that her employers regularly subject Mai-chan to unimaginably demeaning and brutal physical abuses and humiliations...and second, that she can uncannily heal from her disfigurements! Graphic and not-for-the-squeamish adaptation of the manga series co-stars Shôgo Maruyama, Soaco Roman. 63 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Japanese; Subtitles: English; documentary; theatrical trailer. In Japanese with English subtitles.
