Airing on ITV, this series of British television movies, based on the novels by Georges Simenon, starred Rowan Atkinson as 1950s French police detective Chief Inspector Jules Maigret. First, "Maigret Sets a Trap" (2016) to catch a serial killer targeting women. Then, someone turns up murdered after repeatedly calling the police and asking for Maigret, in "Maigret’s Dead Man" (2016). A dead jeweler is at the center of a baffling mystery, in "Maigret: Night at the Crossroads" (2017). And, "Maigret in Montmartre" (2017) finds Maigret solving, not one, but two slayings.
