The third entry in the farcical baseball series stars Scott Bakula as Gus Cantrell, a career minor-league pitcher who becomes manager of the Minnesota Twins' AAA affiliate for former player/now team owner Roger Dorn (Corbin Bernsen). Cantrell's success at turning around the hapless squad of bush-leaguers and has-beens earns them a game against the big-league club and its arrogant skipper.
