The Male Animal

Crackerjack romantic comedy, based on the James Thurber/Elliot Nugent play, stars Henry Fonda as Tommy Turner, a liberal college professor who creates a furor when he plans to read a controversial letter to his students. At the same time, wife Ellen’s (Olivia de Havilland) old boyfriend (Jack Carson) pays her a visit, and Tommy suspects he wants to rekindle their relationship.
