Beginning as a sketch on "The Carol Burnett Show," this 1983-90 sitcom starred Vicki Lawrence as sharp-tongued widow Thelma "Mama" Harper, who shared her home in the small Midwestern burg of Raytown with sister Fran (Rue McClanahan), lazy son Vinton (Ken Berry), and his new wife, Naomi (Dorothy Lyman). Burnett and Harvey Korman made occasional guest turns as Thelma's daughter Eunice and her husband, Ed.
