Patrick Duffy starred as Atlantean hero Mark Harris in four made-for-TV movies that aired in 1977, prior to the debut of the weekly series. Washing ashore with no memory, Harris teams up with a beautiful marine biologist (Belinda Montgomery) to stop a madman (Victor Buono) who plans to use nuclear submarines to launch missiles all over the world, in "Man from Atlantis." Then, while investigating the disappearance of three scuba divers, Harris encounters a pair of extra terrestrials heralding an impending invasion, in "The Death Scouts."
