Marianne

In her World War I-stricken French village, plucky peasant girl Marianne (Marion Davies) kept up the spirits of the patrons of her inn and the new orphans that she looked after. Though she manages to keep an interested American doughboy (Lawrence Gray) at arms’ length out of faithfulness to her enlisted fiancé (George Baxter), will she have regrets once he returns from the front?
