Based on the 1934 film "Death Takes a Holiday," this moody fantasy stars Brad Pitt as the spirit of Death, incarnated in the body of recent car crash victim "Joe Black," who puts off claiming business magnate William Parrish (Anthony Hopkins) for a few days so that Joe can learn from him the joys and pains of mortal existence.
