Messiah of Evil - Digitally Remastered. Terror you won't want to remember in a film you won't be able to forget! Husband and wife filmmaking duo Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz direct this 1973 horror film about a young woman (Marianna Hill) on a journey to find her missing father. Her search brings her to a quiet Californian seaside town, but she quickly realizes that the bizarre community is ruled by a cult of the undead. Messiah of Evil is considered by many to be one of the first "nightmare films," which are characterized by surreal, dream-like sequences, obscure plots and unrelentingly eerie atmospheres. The film has been cited as a major influence for later horror classics like A Nightmare on Elm Street.
