In 1974, Brooklyn businessman Joe Fine (Chazz Palminteri) picks up and moves his family─wife Stella (Andie MacDowell) and daughters Maddie (Rainey Qualley, MacDowell's real-life daughter) and Natalie (Jodelle Ferland)─to Louisiana.
