This potent examination of the lives of unemployed shipyard workers in Spain features Javier Bardem as the leader of a group of out-of-work pals who congregate in a small bar to try to forget their worries. Among the regulars at the tavern are Celso Bugallo, who has become an alcoholic; Enrique Villen, who has found work as a security guard; and Luis Tosar, whose wife has been forced to take a repulsive job at the local cannery. 113 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English, Spanish; audio commentary by Bardem, others; deleted scenes; "making of" featurette; storyboards. In Spanish with English subtitles.
