Baz Luhrmann's dazzling musical is set in the legendary 1900s Parisian nightclub of the title frequented by Bohemian artists and writers. Ewan McGregor is Christian, an impoverished author whose new play draws the attention of courtesan and would-be actress Satine (Nicole Kidman). The two begin a romance that is threatened by her involvement with the wealthy aristocrat (Richard Roxburgh) backing Christian. This one-of-a-kind mix of contemporary and vintage songs also stars Jim Broadbent, John Leguizamo. 126 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital Surround; Subtitles: English; audio commentary by Luhrmann, others.
