First, "High Fidelity: The Adventures of the Guarneri String Quartet" (1989) marks the 25th anniversary of this acclaimed classical group, formed when three of them were students at Philadelphia's Curtis Institute. Footage of performances from around the world focuses on their fine music and the sense of camaraderie. Next, the touching and inspirational documentary "Small Wonders" (1995) offers a look at the work of Roberta Guaspari-Tzavaras, a single mother who taught violin to East Harlem schoolchildren and, when funding for arts programs was cut, fought to establish a non-profit organization to keep her dream of bringing the joy of music to the inner city going. AKA: "Fiddlefest." Four-disc set also includes "From Mao to Mozart: Isaac Stern in China" and "The Turandot Project." 5 1/2 hrs. total. Soundtrack: English.
