Maskarade

A young man and young woman who meet for the first time at a masked ball fall madly in love, only to have their pledge complicated by family members who have other futures in mind for them. Based on a comic play by Ludvig Holberg, this 1906 opera by Danish composer Carl Nielsen is given a delightful performance by the Royal Danish Opera.
