To Los Angeles cabbie Ernie Green (Yaphet Kotto), Baltimore businessman Adrian Vico (David Janssen) appeared to be an airport fare pretty much like any other. When the destination turns out to be the Mexican border--and the reticent rider proves to be a fugitive (yep) from the shooting of his wife’s lover--both men are in for revelations during the ensuing flight from the authorities.
