Night Will Fall

In the waning days of World War II, as the British Army liberated the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, producer Sydney Bernstein was tasked with leading a camera crew to capture the uncovered atrocities for a documentary. The project soon incorporated U.S. and Soviet footage, received input from Alfred Hitchcock--and was ultimately shelved. Now, that footage can be seen in this film that explores the making of "German Concentration Camps Factual Survey," and the factors underlying its scuttling. 113 min.
