GDM Music presents on CD for the first absolute time a Film Music jewel written by prestigious M° Nino Oliviero "La moglie giapponese" directed in 1968 by Gian Maria Polidoro starring Gastone Moschin, Paul Esser, Michiko Iwasaki, Lilly Lau, Yuan Kwan, Luciana Scalise, Marzia Ubaldi, Simonetta Stefanelli, Renato Navarrini. Moschin plays the role of a Novara accountant, called to substitute a sick colleague, who must travel for job matter to the Far East. During his journey through Tokyo, Saigon, Hong Kong and Calcutta, the man will live little by little a kind of nightmare clashing with the miserable reality of a world made only apparently of lights and sounds. Nino Oliviero has written a score based on a melancholy love theme with different variations (among them that one with the crystal voice of Edda Dell'Orso) and alternated to swing, blues and bossa nova music. Besides the material issued in stereo on the original RCA album, mono film versions have been added from the session master tapes recorded at that time, properly restored and re-mastered in digital.
