Meet Dick, 32, single, unemployed, been in therapy for 2 years, finally starting to sort some stuff out, when bang - his therapist, Dr Schnell, has a mental breakdown, leaving Dick to fend for himself. Feeling cheated and with no one to talk to, Dick decides that if his shrink's in the nuthouse then there's no reason why he can't start his own practic. So he does... in his garage. Dirt cheap mental health proves to be an unexpected hit to the bottom feeders of suburbia. Dick soon finds himself dealing with a clientele whose problems not only test his skill as a therapist, but also his patience. And amid the disfunction of Dick's chosen course, he begins to find a sense of compassion and an ability to love again.
