After the State of Alaska underwrote his M.D., New Yorker Joel Fleischman (Rob Morrow) thought he’d pay it off by practicing in Anchorage. Instead, he got shunted to the tiny town of Cicely, where he’d make patients and friends of colorful citizens like bush pilot Maggie (Janine Turner), local media mogul Maurice (Barry Corbin), disc jockey Chris (John Corbett), and mayor/barkeep Holling (John Cullum) in this quirky, whimsical series that ran on CBS from 1990-1995.
