The third effort from filmmaking twins Mark and Michael Polish is centered around a mid-1950s evacuation of a small Montana town that will be flooded following completion of a new dam. With most of the residents already gone, a handful of determined stalwarts refuse to be uprooted, standing firm against the government officials who are trying to remove them.
