The genius displayed by the pioneers of cinematic comedy is on display in this collection of four rare silent shorts. White comic Fred Parker dons blackface to play a cowboy named Rastus in "Mine Your Business!" (1925), co-starring Teddy Reavis. AKA: "A Chocolate Cowboy"; ex-vaudeville and circus star Charles Dorety and Gene Layman wonder "Are Golfers Cuckoo?" (1926) after getting caddy jobs at a spiffy club; the UK's Bray Studios produced the riotous "Figures Do Lie" (1928), which teams Violet Palmer and Jack Cooper in a humorous tale of private eyes and bathing beauties; and Jimmy Murphy's "Toots and Casper" comic strip comes to the screen in "Fooling Casper" (1928), the hilarious two-reeler starring Thelma Hill and Bud Duncan. 90 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: music score. Silent with music score.
