Ready for a good laugh? From the earliest days of cinema, five two-reel silent films have been restored for your enjoyment! Mack Sennett veteran Charles Murray is "The Plumber" (1914), just not a very skilled one; Gloria Swanson plays "The Danger Girl" (1916) for Sennett, cross-dressing to save her relationship; director Frank Borzage works in front of the camera, playing the lead in the rare Western "Nugget Jim's Pardner" (1916); vacationing in India turns out to be treacherous for Gloria Swanson, who might become "The Sultan's Wife" (1917) against her will unless boyfriend Bobby Vernon can save her; long before "Meet the Parents," silent screen comic Jimmie Adams made this awkward event hilarious in "Meet the Folks" (1927). 113 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: music score. Silent with music score.
