On Dangerous Ground

After the latest in a string of brutality complaints, dedicated but heavy-handed New York cop Jim Wilson (Robert Ryan) finds himself shunted to a rural upstate community in order to assist a local murder investigation. He finds himself questioning his own attitudes when confronted with the vigilante bloodthirst of the victim’s father (Ward Bond), as well as the compassion of the blind recluse (Ida Lupino) whose disturbed brother is the prime suspect.
